I'm not in any affiliate marketing yet, because it's hard for me.
but all money online programs have same rules  , the more referals, the better earning.
I think can apply these ways for all (not only for affiliate).
In my opion, get free referals are not easy, although can get some refs by free ways, but not much. If you
really want to increase earning with much refs, need buy refs from joining sites

Usually JV's are done with partners with a list. For example, I would contact a marketer with a big list and have him promote a product for me and I would market his product to my list. This can get you some great leads but you must have a list equal or close to your partners.

I do this often. but do it different, I contact the big shot marketer and make him an offer he can't refuse. I tell him that all if he promote my product he can keep 100% my commission. Why? Instant recognition. Once everyone in his list see the big shot marketer promoting your product they jump on board. Start becoming affiliate of there own and boom. instant affiliates.
