From www.sportsarbitrageguide.com/wordpress/Things are coming along well with the new design. Klaus of RedSkiesDesign has done some great work and now it is just up to khalak and myself to move all of the information into the new design, check all of the links and formatting, and most difficult (and exciting) of all: Collect and enter all of the information into the new bookmaker Database! Sports Arbitrage Guide has a more user friendly navigation system now. And I have re-written much of the information already, plus i will be working my butt off trying to fill up the rest of the pages which I need to complete. The website will be going live as soon as I have the "Introduction" and "Components" section complete and the basic extras ready. Thats virtually where the current site is up to, but as soon as they are ready I will be working on the Arbitrage Trading Guide which will go into the more advanced help. The new design should almost certainly be live before the end of this month. SureBetBookies is a bigger project, but will hopefully go live at the same time as SAG because it will be useful quickly even though there are over 500 bookmakers through which we have to trawl to collect information. The database will allow you to compare the details (including general information, which alert services use them, various deposit and withdrawal details, and sports betting rules) of several selected bookmakers. And better yet, it will allow you to filter for key attributes. For instance, you will be able to request all bookmakers used by SureBetPro, which accept US citizens, and use MoneyBookers. Or maybe you want to see all bookmakers who are used by ArbAlarm AND Sports punter, that accept Neteller. If you can think of other criteria which you might want to filter the bookmakers for, please tell us in the forums. Currently we are making it so you can filter for Alert programs, Neteller, MoneyBookers and Egold, and US accepting. If you think another filter would be worth adding, suggest it in this thread.Shane This post has been edited by Aegist: Nov 1 2006, 01:30 AM

QUOTE(atbright @ Nov 1 2006, 03:23 PM) Don't know what rules you are planning to include but baseball for moneyline, runline, and totals and listed or action pitchers would be helpful as would hockey. I don't know if hockey rules vary much but there is definitely a difference between NHL and European Hockey so some European books might grade NHL like European leagues which would cause a problem when arbing with say The Greek. Also something to include somewhere is the difference between a handicap and an asian handicap. This is a distinction drawn only by European books it seems but can lead to some major cockups even if you think you have completed your due diligence. A $400 loss is a strong lesson but a few words might be easier. Just some thoughts.
Thanks for the thoughts Atbright. The more user input we get, the better we can make it of course (in fact as soon as it goes live I will be putting a survey up for users to fill in and offer feedback on). The rules part of the database is actually the part I have looked into least so far, mostly because it can get very confusing. Tennis is easy, and obviously we will have that. Baseball listed pitcher rules should be easy enough to do, but for most other things we will probably have to simplify the rules somewhat in order to make them comparable.... As for the handicapping, I have realised and fully intend to put together a thorough explanation of bookmakers terms, language, definitions, examples and things you should know. Getting confused by bizarre terminology can really cause a great arb to go very bad! So I'll see if I can put something helpful together on that. Unfortunately, it will take a great deal of time.... so patience please In the meantime though, keep the suggestions coming!!

OK, the websites still aren't ready, and my goal is to have them ready by the end of november, so don't get too excited, but for those of you who are interested in getting a sneak preview here is the website as we go: http://www.sportsarbitrageguide.com/index.phpI have most of the pages up now, i just have to go through each of them individually to make the look nice and have decent content. So, if you are interested have a browse and pass along the feedback. Tell us what you think of the look, and tell us what we should have in it! Shane

QUOTE(findcount @ Nov 5 2006, 10:33 PM) yeah, the new website is easier on the eye. great work, shane ! one of my friends visited your website and said you set up this site so you can receive the commissions from sbp and other referrals but i told him even if it'strue, you've earned them with your efforts on the website and your help to newbies ! Thanks for the support findcount. You're friend is almost right. Originally I set it up to earn commissions from the bookmakers accounts, but since found that many of the alert services offer affiliate accounts too. I don't hide this fact from anyone and infact tell everyone about it in the faq: http://www.sportsarbitrageguide.com/basicfaq.html (last question). This website is my first attempt at a real business. It is my goal to make substantial amounts of money from it But first I have to give. I have put about 8 months worth of solid work into this website, and have now spent a large sum of money to have it redesigned and have the SBB database designed. All in all, I hope you agree, its a fair trade I invest time and money (risking both), give away all of it for free, and then hope I make it back through people being thoughtful and kind enough to simply use my links to arb alert programs and bookmakers whenever they register. QUOTE(findcount @ Nov 5 2006, 10:43 PM) saw golfinvestmentengine.com at your website, shane - any good ?
I really should put up those phrases like DTM: "Paid Advertisement- DTM does not endorse any of the program advertised" I quickly browsed over golfinvestment just to assure myself it isn't a scam (I won't allows scams to be advertised on my site thank you very much ) but aside from that I don't know much about it. It looks like a clever system, and their track record looks good, but as with all gambling systems, it can all come crashing down based on a simple losing streak.... That is the advantage of arbitrage over gambling. You are removing the possibilities of loss, and hence removing "the losing streak" issue.

i've no problems with your earning the commissions, shane ! you've earned it and besides, i believe you're earning only from sbp on a monthly basis while the others don't pay you monthly as they're not mlm. and since a newbie need someone to refer him/her into sbp, might as well be you as you've more than earned it !
