Finland has a strong history of technological development but the same country seems to stand behind the other nations when it comes to internet marketing. The internet usage is pretty common among the Finns these days and they use it for various purposes except when it comes to shopping. But why is it so? Well, the Finlandia Group, a leading stock management and analytics company has pointed out the chief reason behind such a problem. The very willingness towards internet shopping in Finland is rooted in the basic Finnish character. According the Finlandia Group, since Finland holds a solid tradition in the television and newspaper advertising, they do not want to come out of it even if the surrounding world is thinking differently.
The Finns are very much ad dependent and are not that acquainted with different internet marketing strategies to be followed which have in fact proved to be relatively effective in comparison to simple ads. The Finns seem to be very conservative by nature and cannot accept the ongoing changes readily. This is evident from their meager participation in the social networking sites, which have emerged today as one of the major platforms in online marketing. According to the esteemed company, not even 50% of the internet users here have a membership in the social media sites.
