an open relationship leaves no room for trust! one cannot be committed to a guy/girl and then say lets have an open relationship unless they are just friends with benefits. in an open relationship honesty about your depth of relationship is important for health purposes. even kissing has a 10% risk of carrying AIDS. playing kinky games or doing a one off thing in a committed relationship for fun/game is also not acceptable according to me. but then.... to each his own..
