Gents,
Here I want to share my recommendations on books for successful marketing.
Note: If you believe that marketing includes only the articles and press-releases submissions, you may stop reading this post.
In the offline world, marketing addresses not only the problem of 'how to reach a potential buyer', but also the problem of how to 'convert the potential buyer into a real client with repetitive purchases'.
In the online world, it is basically the same problems. The first problem may be solved by SEO, SIM, SMO, SMM, whatever else. The second problem may be solved by usability improvement, existing-client email marketing, adaptation of selling workflow and conversion monitoring/improvement.
The online world is very young and can learn a lot from the offline brother. Those how realize this - are/will be millionaires.
The following books I find as a very good source for such realization:
"Ca$hvertising" by Eric Whitman - marketing psychology
"Influence The Psychology of Persuasion" by Robert Cialdini
"Scientific Advertising" by Claude Hopkins
"Writing for Emotional Impact" by Karl Iglesias
"The Power of Persuasion, How We Are Bought and Sold" by Robert Levine
"Neuromarketing: Understanding The Buy Buttons In Your Customer's Brain" by Patrick Renvoise
