Same here... money is the best motivating factor
I often hear others say that you should pursue niches that you're interested in or passionate about. But the truth is, most of the things you're interested in or passionate about will make little or no money! For example, I'm sure many people are extremely passionate about cooking. Others absolutely love dogs. But if you target something in one of these niches, your income will be limited -- BIG TIME! Sure, you might make a little money on the side, but I'm guessing there are very few people making a full-time living in these niches.
For example, when someone searches on Google for "cooking" related keywords -- I'm guessing that 90% of the searches are people trying to find recipes or cooking tips. For the most part, these people are looking for free information and don't plan on buying anything. So how do you monetize the traffic? Google Adwords will only generate so much income...
But if you pick a niche with BIG PROFIT potential, you stand a much better chance of making BIG MONEY. For example, I've done extremely well with payday loans (see my sig). Sure, it's very competitive, but the lure of big commission checks inspires me to work hard and become an expert in my field. I had no interest in this topic before, but now I know everything there is to know about payday loans and other related financial products.
You might not have an interest, but if you want to be successful and make a great living online, you need to choose profitable niches. The best niches usually fall in the HEALTH of FINANCIAL fields...
Excellent point, I absolutely agree with you. I started a business regarding Business/Office Organizing & Productivity....while everyone said; they needed me and my service, but when it came to pay for it, my business went down the tubes....
