Making comments in relevant blogs is a great way to build backlinks and upgrade your blog overall performance. But you must do it the proper way; I mean, play by the rules. In this post, I'm going to share with you some 8 killer blog commenting strategies that you can use to maximize the benefits of blog commenting. Know that any blogger that does not comment on other blogs is doing himself a great harm.
Below are the 8 killer blog commenting tips to driving traffic and creating backlinks for your own blog:
1: Locate Blogs that are in Your Niche
You do not need to be a guru to locate blogs in your own niche, but it's worth mentioning. What's the point if people come to a blog which is not in any way relevant to their own niche? Furthermore, there will be no much SEO benefit for you commenting on online dating blogs if that's not your blog niche because it will do you no good. Your goal should be to visit and comment on blogs with the same interests as yours. I don't mean spending all your time commenting on blogs. The key is to pick a few top quality ones.
2: Use Your Keyword in the Name Section
When entering
your name in comment section, use the primary keyword that you want to rank for, e.g. blogging tips, creating blogs, marketing training etc. Well, you can use your personal name if you want to rank for it. However, obey their rules.
3: Link to a Relevant Post or Page in Your Blog
A cool way to create backlinks with blog commenting is to use your relevant post and page links instead of your home page. If you have a post that is relevant or a money page that you want to rank for, then link to it. I see some new bloggers making a big mistake of not linking to their blogs at all - big mistake! You can also link to the page of your blog that is relevant to your host blog.
4: Add Your Picture to Your Comments
One of the effective ways to build your brand online is to use your own picture, preferably the same one. Now, what good is it if you use a default image and people don't see your face next to your comments? If you really need to be visible and make a name for your self in the blogging arena, then you need to add your picture. And pictures of your pet, company logo and so on, will not help you to achieve this.
True, but you Better be careful...
Blog commenting can be very effective, but since the update you must take some new precautions...
1). Always mix up anchors, using your target keyword as you mentioned is okay, but you better use more than just that keyword as an anchor... Google wants your backlink profile to appear as though other folks are linking to your site as well, and if that was the case, anchors would always be different...
2). Niche specific blogs are great, but again, if more than 85% of your backlinks are comments, no matter how high of quality they are, you could be asking for trouble. There must be A WHOLE LOT of
diversity in your backlinks now days. So if you build 100 comments, you should build at least 50-75 of another type of backlink...
W/ the proper precautions, blog commenting can still be very effective...
Good post! - Good Topic...
