Harry said, "I am putting my life into my job because I want to excel". Everybody around him applauded (including strangers).
Then Shashi said," I want to excel in my job, in my relationship with my parents, husband & kids and I want to serve the society."
Few eyes popped out, more frowned, one dropped his jaw and others simply shook their head.
"Hey you are a human not a super human", somebody in crowd yelled.
Shashi replied I was talking about you guys and smiled.
Are we all not wasting our lives in trying to score exceptionally well on all possible fronts in our lives. Have we forgotten we have moved on from apes to being humans not super humans?
Why have we started expecting to much from ourselves? Why we want to excel in each area of our lives?
Why don't we used the coin on our scratch cards to reveal what do we want from life?
And worked on achieving the epitome of success in that area that mattered the most to us.
Score full marks in that area.
Reach the finish line first and make ourselves and others around us proud.
We excel because we focus on things that needs to be done...
