Hi DTM Family,
Just like you I was eager to increase my web traffic to one of my websites. While surfing a traffic exchange for credits to send visitors to my site, I came across and ad for 100,000 visitors for $39. I thought, "Surely I can make that back long before using all those visitors!" So, I purchased it. Statistically, my site was getting around 350 visitors a day. But, of those 350, only around 15 of those were actual human visitors. That's right, this company was using an automated software to click on my website link. But, the good news is, my site started to rank very well from the perceived traffic my site was getting and I was able to leverage that into actual visitors. For those of you looking to buy visitors(not referring to PPC or Solo Ads), make sure you confirm that these are human visitors and also create a game plan to leverage that traffic in favor of your business goals.
Hope this helps someone

QUOTE(samedavis @ Jan 28 2013, 11:03 AM) The Pros
If you have already created some high-quality and relevant content that simply needs added exposure, then a paid advertising campaign may be worth the extra dollars on your upcoming credit card statement. When you take the time to choose an advertising option that will properly target your blog to the right audience, it could lead to building your long-term readership base.
Paying for traffic will also help increase your website quality which is used by search engines when determining your page rank. This means that your blog will get a more favorable ranking over time, making it easier for potential readers to find it through organic search. Your page rank increases because search engine crawlers tend to index sites that have a steady flow of traffic before those sites with intermittent traffic. The Cons
The primary con of purchasing traffic for your blog is the added expense. Just because you get extra traffic to your blog doesnt necessarily mean that your blog will become profitable overnight. There are other factors that you may need to invest in as well, such as design and content. This means that you dont want to blow your entire blog budget on purchasing traffic.
Many bloggers view PPC and other paid traffic campaigns as a last step to take after making inexpensive efforts on their own. They feel that the small time investment made on the other tactics pay off better than having to make an upfront financial investment.
Great description..helped a lot..Thanks:)

Whether your approach is paid or otherwise, you need to be certain that you are getting noticed in front of the people you wish to attract. That is why buying a list from a broker (for example) is too random... thousands of "prospects" who don't you, don't trust you, and for your part, you have no idea of exactly what they want! Think positioning, and building trusting relationships; that is why List Building is so powerful.

Hello,
So sorry to hear that this has happened to you. Me too back in the day. However, now I know better. You have to be so careful. There are some great places to buy paid traffic. You just have to know who they are and what works for you. There will always be Pros and Cons in everything and anything. Do your research, get feedback from others that using paid traffic and which ones they are using. That's a start:) I love the Pros and Cons of Buying Traffic
