What is Argentine Peso?
Argentine Peso (ARS) is the official currency of the Argentina country. It is the only official currency used in the country but argentinos are used to use United States Dollars (USD) as the main currency for buying homes, cars, electronics. By law all the prices in Argentina are in "pesos".
Pesos are regulated by the local bank, the "Banco Central de la Republica Argentina", an institution created like the Federal Reserve in USA, but with least power.
One "official" peso is around 0,15 euros or 0,20 US Dollars.
At the moment there are like in Venezuela more than 2 or 3 exchange rates for 1 euro or 1 dollar.
At the moment the argentinian government haven't depreciated the currency by law, it means if you want to "buy" for example 1000 argentinian pesos you will have to pay 153 euros.
But the current situation have over-depreciated de facto the argentinian currency and you can "buy" 1000 argentinian pesos with only 100 euros.
It means the global market makes you pay 53 euros more for each 1000 argentinian pesos.
