Admin update....
Subject: Important answers to your questions
Karen and I have been talking to your leaders and we are aware of the comments, suggestions and concerns that our members have.
I want to address the questions relating to our business model. We know some members think we should be sharing more with the members and “keeping” less for ourselves.
First and foremost I want to say that it has always been our intention to provide our members with a network of advertising sites that deliver quality traffic. I think we are doing that. I can tell you that in just over one day TGRS alone experienced 2.1 million hits. That translates to a lot of eyes on your ads.
Some people are wondering why we set the admin portion of the purchase amount at 25% and suggested that 10% may be more appropriate.
To date, we have contributed considerable personal resources both financial and otherwise to create TGRS. We have incurred site development fees, server costs, expenses to ensure the security of the site and now the ongoing admin functions including staff wages.
We feel strongly that we have set a reasonable percentage that will allow us to secure the future of TGRS. Not only does it allow us to set aside a reserve that will enable us to handle any unforeseen expenses it also provides us with the opportunity to develop additional sources of revenue all designed to benefit TGRS members.
We would like to point out that unlike many online programs we are not charging fees to either deposit or withdraw funds. What you see is what you get and that’s the way it should be. We also will not impose a forced repurchase. What you make is yours we will not dictate what you should do with it.
We also understand that many feel we are taking too long processing withdrawals. I did address this issue in yesterdays email. To reiterate we are auditing accounts and that is slowing us down. We simply cannot process withdrawals without verifying accounts or we very well could give away the farm so to speak. To my knowledge the issue was repaired and this will be a temporary setback.
Some also feel that we should automate the pending deposit approval process. My instincts tell me to resist this idea but Karen and I both realize that we may need to change the process. For now we do have very good news in this regard. Changes have been made that have improved the entire process and that has dramatically increased the rate at which we can approve purchases. This change has freed up considerable time so that we can focus on getting those withdrawals out to you.
Our fees are not carved in stone! As processes improve and become less time consuming and we are comfortable with the way the site is performing we may well adjust percentages. The decision will be based on sound business practices when it seems appropriate to do so.
We are developing TGRS to last. Please continue to share your comments and concerns with your leaders and we will do our best to address them.
We have achieved continuous improvement on a daily basis since we rolled out just 4 short days ago. Imagine where we can be in a month.
Have a great day,
Brian and Karen
