Want to be a better copywriter?
Make a list of some of the best copywriters that you know (authors or marketers whose list you are on)
Then spend 15-30 minutes a day simply reading their copy. Subscribe to their e-mails if you're not already.
This constant exposure will dramatically increase your ability to copywrite over time.
Improving your copywriting skills takes time. It won't happen overnight or in one week so you need to stay patient all throughout the process.
Step 1: Read. Reading informational e-books and press releases improves your writing skills. Believe that when you read something that is well-researched and well-written, your writing techniques improve as well.
Step 2: Register to free online courses. There are thousands of "how-to-write-well" online publications but only few are recommended. That's why; if you'll find free online courses that will teach you the basics of journalistic writing, register immediately. Take time to watch the instructional videos and start applying the guidelines when you write.
Step 3: Practice writing. Apply for "copywriting" jobs online and start applying what you have learned. It feels rewarding to get paid while you're doing what you love, right?
