INDIAN BENCHMARKS had a highest close on Thursday in nearly 3 yrs, led by
banks after the U.S. Fed Reserve surprised the markets by sticking to its stimulus plans. Market
ran out of steam on Friday erasing all the previous day gain after the Reserve Bank of India
unexpectedly raised the key policy rate by 25 basis points, triggering a fall in the country's
currency, shares and bond prices.
