Base metals pack on the LME traded on a positive note yesterday as the US Republicans and President Barack Obama agreed on a temporary increase in the debt ceiling indicating that the default could be avoi ded. Also, decline in LME inventories except Lead supported an upside in prices.
However, sharp gains were capped on the back of strength in the DX. In the Indian markets, base metals declined owing to Rupee appreciation.
