Chana futures witnessed short coverings on Wednesday on expectations of demand to emerge at lower price levels. November futures settled 0.92% higher while spot prices settled 1.91% higher on Wednesday.
Prices had declined over the last one week as sowing operations have started in key states like Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Comfortable domestic supplies and arrival of imported chana also exerted downside pressure on the prices.
