what is e marketing strategy?
Effective online marketing requires consistently using a network of strategies geared toward one goal.
Here are the components that are present in fully fleshed out online marketing strategies:
Customer Avatar - Create a profile of your ideal customer. This will help you to write copy and make offers that motivate people to take action.
Drive traffic - Send traffic to an offer landing page on your website. You’ll drive traffic with one or more methods, which can include paid ads (Google Ads or social media ads), free social media marketing, blog content on your website or another person’s website and finally, you can use email marketing to drive traffic to a landing page.
Strategic landing page design - Once readers reach your site, you’ll need a landing page with specific elements, like trust indicators, facts and figures, visual cues that reinforce the offer and more.
Motivating copy - You’ll also need copy that triggers an emotional response and answers the logical/rational reasons why they should take the offer.
The “right” offer - Your offer could be paid or unpaid. What matters most is that it has been created specifically for a customer avatar. It must satisfy their needs/desires. Common offers are a free lead magnet, a coupon or an irresistible low-cost offer.
An “advocacy” or remarketing plan - At this point a person will either take or NOT take your offer. You’ll need a plan for both inevitabilities. If someone takes your offer, what will you do to ensure they’re happy AND are primed to take future offers at greater price points? You might offer follow-up customer service procedures and/or a follow-up email sequence that provides further information/offers and/or customer service. For those who don’t take your offer, how will you re-engage them about this or other products or services? Common methods are remarketing ads and/or an email follow-up sequence.
