The fourth step involves a choice once awareness has increased with self observation to determine what would feel better. Obviously, if it is in the negative end of the scale, the goal is to move it to the positive end. Sometimes it isn't possible to make a leap or jump, and instead a 'baby-step' or even a shift, is all that is needed. Be open to other options. Choose 'instead' even if only perceptibly small, it is movement upward to a better feeling.
