About piCoin
piCoin is a new cryptocurrency based off of the original coin from mid-2013, but this time with a fair and optimized distribution and a strong backing from experienced marketers, businessmen, crypto nerds, and math geeks. We've set out with a plan to not only spread piCoin far and wide, but to help spread cryptocurrency throughout the math community.
Cryptocurrencies are clearly a very math-oriented concept, but we have yet to see them catch on to a large degree among the communities of mathematicians, math teachers, math enthusiasts, and every student in the world taking a math course. Many programmers and developers are passionate about cryptocurrencies - our goal is to extend this ardor to everyone with a love for math.
piCoin will expand past its Internet roots and develop an offline presence as piCoin is promoted at various offline events, including but not limited to math conventions, conferences, universities, and schools. We've hired paid marketing consultants from all over the world (specifically in the US, Europe, China, Korea, and India) in order to assist in the globalization of piCoin. As piCoin grows, opportunities for charitable efforts will arise; math scholarships, education for those in need, and even funding a school in a third world country are all distinct possibilities down the road.
