Affiliate marketing on YouTube is perhaps the fastest and easiest way to guarantee consistent traffic streams to your affiliate websites. When you sell products for other people, what you need is a quality YouTube channel. Today I am going to share with you how to begin marketing those products on YouTube.
YouTube channels have real value. If you can build your affiliate channel to have even 10,000 subscribers, that will significantly boost your sales over time.
YouTube Affiliate Marketing 101
Assuming you have your affiliate websites and products setup and ready, you will now need to create a branded YouTube channel for yourself.
Step one: Consistent branding make sure that your profile image, channel cover, layout, affiliated channels and your actual videos all promote your company. If you want to market as the product brand that you are selling, you will need to setup different brand channels.
Step two: Add at least 10 videos to your channel to begin with. When people arrive on your channel and you have only 1 video, they will leave and never come back. Your goal is to get them to click on that subscribe button the moment they arrive.
Creating Your Affiliate Marketing Videos
For your initial 10 videos you can devise a strategy that will become the backbone of your channel. Someone selling books for example, can divide the channel into 3 types of video. The first type can be reviews, the second summaries, and the last hangouts.
With this kind of structure the affiliate marketer will create 4 initial optimized reviews based on the book products that they want to sell. This will be a video of them talking about the book and reviewing it, based on their expertise.

The second type of video will be 3 summaries or books that the affiliate marketer has read and then condensed into a five minute video. This will be popular with students, readers, people in the book industry and bloggers.
The final type of 3 videos will be hangouts from Google+. The affiliate marketer will take a product and host a discussion with 4 other bloggers, based on whether its worth buying. Viewers will watch the video and then decide, based on the discussion, whether to buy it.
Promoting Your Affiliate Marketing Videos
Affiliate marketing on YouTube has a lot of perks, because if there is something interesting or funny in your video, it can go viral. When this happens you will get floods of traffic and sales, which is always good.
To increase your chances of this happening, you will need to promote your videos on social networks like Facebook, Google+ and Pinterest. Its also important that you host a blog where you can post your YouTube videos with more background story and information, in case anyone clicks through to your website from your YouTube channel.
All in all, it takes just a basic strategy to get started with affiliate marketing on YouTube. The goal is to get those first 10 videos done, and up. Then you can start pushing to get views and sales. Make sure that your videos inspire those sales or you wont get them!
What would your first video be on your affiliate marketing YouTube channel?
