Asian markets were trading higher. Monetary policy decisions are due in Australia and India later Tuesday. While no change is expected from either central bank, the governors� statements will be closely watched for attempts to talk down strength in their respective currencies.
China�s Shanghai Composite added 0.36 percent or 7.40 points at 2,046.61. Hong Kong�s Hang Seng rose 0.25 percent or 58.56 points at 23,140.21.
Japan�s Nikkei gained 0.80 percent or 119.28 points at 15,055.20. Singapore�s Straits Times was flat at 3,299.22.
South Korea�s Seoul Composite was flat at 2,002.75. Taiwan�s Taiwan Weighted was up 0.24 percent or 21.80 points at 9,097.71.
