Asian stocks kicked off the week with gains following positive data releases from the region�s two biggest economies and a strong US lead.
China�s Shanghai Composite was up 0.11 percent or 2.20 points at 2,032.15. Hong Kong�s Hang Seng added 0.77 percent or 177.87 points at 23,128.87.
Japan�s Nikkei rose 0.59 percent or 88.21 points at 15,165.45. Singapore�s Straits Times gained 0.30 percent or 9.84 points at 3,309.27.
South Korea�s Seoul Composite was flat at 1,997.14. Taiwan�s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 9,142.83.
