The question would be whether you can spend more time monitoring charts and doing analysis and whether you could unemotionally close your position and cut losses when it is not too late.
It is highly not recommended not to use stop loss when you day-trade high leveraged instrument. On the other hand if you buy stock in a long term you may avoid setting stop-loss. Many long-term investors just monitor charts a couple of times per week to keep an eye on the sentiment in their portfolio.
