Hi jaygirl,
Certainly interesting to hear your comments. Would love to hear more. Shame you lost $7,800 to these guys. Although i did not purchase in the end I still feel like reporting them.
No business should be allowed to sell any product for this amount without at the very least demonstating what the product can do.
Some more intersting points we discovered on investigating
- Aussoft Technologies Pty Ltd is a registered Australian company however are not registered for GST??
- Their UK office address checks out to be a pub??? (nothing against Pubs)
- Their Sydney office can not be visited as it is for merchant / corporate customers only???
- They are not listed as tennants in any of the other buildings they claim to occupy?????
They need to be brought down before more like you loose out. Would love to make contact with the "celebs" who endorse the product!

Here's some info from another caught up in this mess
) Globalsoft is the developer company for Arb-A-Trader. Globalsoft sold Aussoft Technologies a franchise for on-selling the Arb-A-Trader product. I found this out when talking to one of the sales people, he inadvertently let that little fact slip. My guess is that the owners of Aussoft may have paid a small fortune for the franchise and also have to provide Globalsoft quite a tidy sum in the way of on-going commissions.
2) All the people that they have on the sales crew are contractors. This one also slipped when I was speaking to a sales person who is an ex-booky by the name of ************. He let that slip when I was suggesting to him that perhaps one of their management team should look into registering their company for GST. His response, and I quote, was, “I don’t give a F*** about that, it’s not my concern. It’s up to the accounting section of AusssoftTechnologies to look after that. I’m only a sub-contractor here.”
3) When I spoke to David Hunt (supposedly the General Manager) he mentioned that the sales of Arb-A-Trader had grown faster than they expected and that they were short-staffed as a result hence they had infrastructure issues that was causing them to fail a little in their support procedures.
end of quote .......
I've emailed Aussoft but never had a reply though the emails don't bounce. Phone calls - no one gets back to you. The arbs continue to be delivered though the pickings are pretty slim. And for a newbie it's all a bit harrowing.
Good side of the story is that I'm real interested in this as an activity. Feeling my way more cautiously now and doing research. Signed up for a trial with another arbs service ....... can't do any harm. And I'll only need about 15 years to make up for what's already gone down the gurgler .... sigh ...
