Institute For Coastal Research Set up to protect the rare Ibis after which the island is named as well as the other bird and animal life and the environment. Visitors are welcome to come here and learn about the fantastic bird life on the island.
Guira This fascinating village is situated just a few km inland and still contains the original houses, it was founded about a hundred years ago, why not hire a horse from here and explore the area from the saddle.
The Duna de la Loma del Puerto Enjoy a lovely walk through unspoilt natural vegetation to reach a natural viewing point, which takes in the glorious bird life and beaches.
Parador La Silla On the 16km causeway that connects the islands of Coco, Guillermo and Romano. This is the ideal spot to watch the spectacular annual migration of pink flamingos to breed from about April to November.

Salsa Cafe Club Tryp, No its not all Salsa, but a good mixture of dance and disco. Friendly atmosphere and good bar makes for a great night on the tiles. If you have the munchies in the wee hours there is a 24-hour snack bar at the hotel.
El Senador The staff put on a good show every night for guests, and there is a lively disco in the hotel with local and sometimes overseas DJs spin the latest chart toppers and of course Salsa.
Sol Cayo Coco This fun filled hotel offers Rio style shows in the evenings complete with colorful costumes and live music and if you still have energy after a hard day in the sun, then try the Disco to dance away the extra energy.
CAYO COCO BEACHES
Playa Flamencos Beautiful desert island beach, with crystal clear shallow waters, fine sand and shade provided by palm trees. Ideal for families with small children as you could wade out 200 metres and still be ankle deep.
Playa Prohibida Just a few kms south along the coast you will come across this secluded beach surrounded by sand dunes reaching 14metres in height. Great reefs to explore here.
Blau Colonial Cayo Coco Check out the beach in front of this fantastic 4 star hotel, its picture perfect. Safe swimming, snorkeling and windsurfing can be enjoyed here, and in-between tanning have a relaxed lunch at the fine buffet restaurant.
