This is very interesting.
From my experience in the retail industry, offers like this that sell gift cards are usually giving out "cloned cards".
Basically, what they do is find a legitimate gift card in a store and copy the magnetic strip. When an unsuspecting customer (Customer A) purchases the original card, the one that the scammer has is now activated. He then finds people online to sell them to. The legitimate customer (Customer A) now has a useless gift card. The unsuspecting buyer (For example, someone who buys the item from the original poster in this thread) has purchased an illegal gift card.
You're better off buying them legitimately in a store, rather than facing the consequences of getting caught up in something like this.
It's more common than you would think - believe me, I used to have to bust people for this all the time...
By the way, people are not authorized to sell CD-Keys, Software Licenses, or anything of the sort. You can only obtain those legally through the companies that own the product.
