So this may be what kills Facebook. In the beginning Facebook was a gold mine because users loved sharing intimate details about their lives to their friends (and to facebook and to advertisers). Now that Facebook is more mature, people have wayyy more connections and now they are wary of sharing their personal details to such a wide audience. Its no longer just your buddies on Facebook, its your grandma, its your boss, its your ex. This is also a reason why more recent entrants like Snapchat are successful - the ephemeral nature of the posts (and more intimate networks) are more conducive to posting personal details and stories.
