Make sure you are not too stressed, at the moment that you want to go to sleep... Are you? Than put your thoughts on a row, or, away first, before you dive into bed.
The best way to sleep is to go when you're tired. Laying wide awake in bed will associate your bed with being awake., and not with sleeping , wich is not what you want...and a lot of caffeine in your body, at the moment that you want to sleep, isn't really helping either...
