Don't bother looking us up on our website (juicetrading.com) because we took it down. However, we're not out of the game, but rather, we've been focusing on the pay-per-head/private book sector. Here is a recent blog I've made: http://arbitragewise.blogspot.com/2009/11/want-to-juice.html

In short, what we have now is a fully automated software that will find arbs and make the bets. I can show daily screen shots, but if you visit the blog, you'll see enough as proof, if not, I have more. We have not incorporated public books (bodog, thegreek, etc) into our program yet because we have not found a worthwhile client using those books. But it only takes us 3-5 days to add a book, so we're not too flustered with that.

I'm making this post for 2 reasons:
1) Educate people interested in juicing (aka Sports Arbitrage) as a sign of good will
2) Reach potential clients
3) Find partners/investors interested in helping me build Juicetrading (programmers, web developers/designers, investors, etc)

I'm pretty sure everyone's first reaction is skeptism... but I can provide all the proof you want (screenshots, mikogo view of the program running, etc).

obviously the most annoying thing for punters is to get caught and limited by bookies.
i (and i am sure many others also)´d like to know about your tricks to avoid it if there are any?

my suggestions:

1:start a new account with the name of a friend - change the ip-adress! and change the mac-adress! (both is easily done - mac via a pc!)

2:hide sure-bets with 3 or 4-game-combis (you will loose at the end of the day or win little..but their software will not find you so easily) on very sure games: 1.05-1.15 - "small" amounts for these bets

3: do not be greedy and place 50% of your balance on one game, because this is obvious then, that one is a pro! (its 20-30-40$ for you, but a couple of 100s for the bookie)

any suggestions and comment from the community?

I´ve been a professional sport trader for 5 years, when I started doing sports arbitrage all the thing was easier than nowadays, I mean I used to take arbs style 1X2 o 12 or just Over/Under, the simplest and most common way and used to get and average of 2.3% per arb along the whole year.
As I said nowadays it became more difficult, mainly because Bookies update odds faster and also because there are more people doing this business using softwares and other services, so the market has became more complex, resulting in the fact that today my average arb % using the common arbs style would be just around 1%, which is not bad but it is far from the good % I got years ago, meaning that I would have to work harder to get the same profit.

So for all these things I has developed different mathematical formulas simply running in a excel spreadsheet with the goal to get a higher arb % using a combination of betting types like 1X2, asian handicap, 1X2handicap, back/lay arbs, etc...
So I developed and used this method of combination of betting types since 2007 and my average arb % strongly increased from 1% up to 2.5%!!!, newbies would say that this does not look much but experienced trader certainly knows that it is a lot...

Just to understand the big difference in profits lets put it in Pounds:
I placed arbitrage bets for around GBP 3.000.000 in the whole year 2007 with an average arb of 2.5% (using these formulas) that gave me a year profit of GBP 75.000 (3Millions x 2.5 / 100). While using the traditional style of arb in the previous year and getting just the 1% average, I got a year profit of just GBP 30.000 (in 2006), so I increased my income from 30K to 75k that´s 250% better just using the method of combination of betting styles.

The method uses very sophisticated formulas to combine handicap and asian handicap odds with the traditional 1X2 odds, so doing this you are getting arbs in events that the rest of the people in the business are not seeing, this gives you an strategical advantage over the rest and most important allows you to get arbs with higher %.
This is an example of the match Atletico Madrid v Real Valladolid played on 10/01/2008 for Copa del Rey (Spain):
Traditional odds were
Atletico Madrid 1.64
Draw 4.20
Real Valladolid 7.20
This gives you a regular arb of 1.33%, so investing GBP 1000 I get GBP 13.3

BUT look at what I get using the combination of asian handicap with traditional odds:
Looking at the asian handicap offers for this same event I found this odds
Atletico Madrid (-0.75) 1.98
Real Valladolid (+1) 1.90

Now the combination of these odds allows you to get a much more higher arb %
Atletico Madrid (-0.75) @ 1.98
Real Valladolid (+1) @ 1.90
Draw @ 4.20
Real Valladolid @ 7.20

The formulas already developed and ready to use in a simply spreadsheet will tell you how much to bet on every of this odds to get the same profit no matter the outcome.
This gives you a great arb of 5.02%, so investing GBP 1000 I get GBP 50.2
Finally you can see the power of using this combination instead of using the traditional system.

The spreadsheet I developed includes more than 20 options using diferent combinations like handicap (-1.25), (+1.25), (0), (-0.5), (+0.5), (-0.75), (+0.75), calculation a single odd starting from 3-4 or more odds (useful to combine, excat score odds), also a simple box to use arbs style back/lay including the commision of your Betting Exchange and more.

I need to ask all a question.

What i plan to do is to start with $5000 - $10,000 and to get onto one or two sports arb alert services or something similar to begin making the bets.

So far i have only seen conservative estimates about what can be earned and overall disappointing results.

I want to ask you all - why cant someone make a complete living or retirement off this?

My personal plan is to try and make 2.5% per day on my capital and let it sit for the year or so.

Is there any reason why this cannot be done?

Are there enough arb services out there whereby i could place just one bet per day to make 2.5% and just keep doing it daily???

Am i being naive that this could be achieved and if so what am i missing??

What's this I keep reading about bookies restricting you to virtually useless limits simply because you're Arbing? I mean, at the end of the day they're running a book on an event and they WANT this money to make their book up. What they pay out in winning bets they make up in losing bets because as we all know they sell the event for less than 100%.

What's the beef if you lose with them and win money from their competitors? What do they care? I can understand them limiting you if you are too much money up with them, that's an entirely different matter but surely with the nature of arbing we win and lose in almost equal measure minus our small % profit and as such we're never more than a few quid up with a bookie at any one time.

What's their gripe? More importantly, those of you who have been arbing for some time, just how much of a hindrance is it to you and what, if anything, can you do to mitigate this? Surely if we all get limited then we'll all go bust?

Some of you may or may not be aware that gambling laws are very different from state to state, country to country. In the E.U this creates an uneven playing field for businesses in the industry - something that the E.U was set up precisely to stop. For example, a gambler in the Netherlands (Holland) is unable to make a bet on anything other than Horses or the lottery (and must do this through a State company), whilst someone in the UK may bet on virtually anything legal, from 'next coach to be fired' to 'next goalscorer'.

As such this limits the potential number of bookmakers heavily - and with it the offers and prices available to those of us that choose to take advantage of Arbs or Intro offers.

As such a number of disgruntled E.U gamblers have set up an online peitition, the aim of which is to force the E.U to take a standard position on what may and may not be bet on and through whom, in the E.U. We would very much appreciate it if you took the time to have a look and sign the petition - wherever you are from (we recognise that many American citizens face similar restrictions!).

This arbitrage service provider claims to provide a service 'designed for the professional arber in mind.' Boy do they deliver on that promise. This service is easily the most professional service that I have seen so far. The website interface is smooth, professional, and so well built that it makes you wonder why the rest of the websites on the internet aren't this good. Clearly the interface was written by a very skilled programmer.

Of course we aren't looking for services that are just skillfully crafted, I know that, so lets get to all of the wonderful content/options this skillful website crafter has put into this service.

First of all, there are a lot of arbs. Here is a screenshot I took with most of the filters turned off.

It shows arbs available for all bookmakers, ranging between 0% and 25% for all sports. They clearly seperate each event, and when they report how many arbs they have found each month, each event counts as one arb, not one arb for each bookmaker combination as reported by many other services.
The huge list on the right is summarised on the left with all of the events listed with the highest trade possible being shown. When new ones are found, a very simple audible alert sounds and it pops up on the left hand side list so you can easily find it. which as you can see shows you all of the details about the arb, including the date of the event and all bookmakers who offer odds on the arb, providing you with recourse if you miss one half of the arb or something goes wrong. There is a little button with the picture of a calculator on it, and when you press it, it pops up with pre-rounded figures telling you what you should be on each side. You find out almost instantly how much you should place either side. Brilliant!

You have your display, alert and maximum displayed arb filters. You can filter on date of event, do you dont get stuck with an arb which isn't acted on for a month or anything silly like that. And you can filter odds which are more than 25% over market average so as to reduce the chance of palpable/obvious errors.

Then there is the 'rules' filter. All of their arbs are already filtered to ONLY show matched rules. You have to choose which mismatched rules you will allow through. So in this screenshot, I have chosen to allow tennis matches which are one rule apart be matched together. Just as an example (although I made an error with T1 and T2, I think you want to match T2 and T3, T3 and T4, and T4 and T1). Anyway, their rules filter is remarkable. I am sure there was a lot of work put into setting that sort of database up so that such a system could work.

Of course there is also the bookmaker filter, and the sport filter, so you can be given arbs only from your chosen bookmakers and sports.

This image shows another neat feature of this arb service. Instead of only being able to see all arbs, you can actually look at all of the upcoming events and see the best odds on those events. Choose your sport, and see the best odds on any game at any time. This could be really useful if you fancy yourself as a real sports fanatic. If you know a lot about a tournament or like to watch odds on a particular psort or something, you could use this to predict where arbs come from. I seriously recommend avoiding this for all novices, but I know some people do 'speculate' on arbs.

They are all of the screenshots I took of Arbitrage Pro. Unfortunately I only have a standard 2 day trial, and I have been ridiculusly busy over the past two days, so I didn't get much of a chance to really sit and watch the arbs that it produces (so no real feedback on error rates, duration of arbs etc). Maybe the kind people at arbitrage pro will provide me with another trial in the future wink.gif Or maybe I will have to subscribe. So many services, so little money!

They also include a help section, within which they have a text explanation of the Hockey rules of every bookmaker they use. It seems that hockey rules tend to be individual from bookmaker to bookmaker, so while ArbitragePro have attempted to catgeorise and filter mismatched rules, it is important for you to understand which rules are being used by your bookmakers exactly so you can be sure.
Once again, they seem to have gone to a lot of trouble to colelct this information. Very impressive.

This group make great arbs. It is amazing how often they will be found by arb alert services. Great service to use if you want to find lots of arbs.

Unfortunately, they don't like arbers. They will limit your betting before you even have a chance to learn how to do it, and you will be forced to go somewhere else anyway. I suggest you use them while you can, get as much from them as you can before they limit you to non-existance. When forced to, just withdraw all of your money and go somewhere else. (BTW: If you are limited at BAW, you are also limited at PlayIt and Betoto. So don't bother trying to go from one to the other, or use them at the same time.)

After less than a month of small arb trading (only a few hundred dollar bets) I was limited to US$150 bets. I asked why this happened, and they replied:

Also, BAW group don't tell you what your maximum bet is until AFTER you press the 'confirm bet' button. So if youare making a trade with BAW etc PLEASE confirm the bet at BAW first. If you place the other bet first, then place BAW second, you leave yourself open to finding ou that your maximum bet is only allowed to be $47.90, as happened to me once. When that happened, I asked why (this was before the $150 limit was imposed) and they said that sometimes when they change odds, they will limit winnings from bets placed temporarily. So it was only a temporary limit placed on that one bet, but that is what ruins arbs for you. Place BAW first always.

I was looking at some free arb finding websites, that presented arbs with small profits (0.3-0.8%) but when I clicked the button "display comissions" all profits turn red ... especially bet fair, so my silly question number one is 1. Do all bookmakers have comissions for placing bets ?

2. From what I have read up to now I understand that pinnacle is bookmaker number one and it rocks, there was a similar thread about favourite bookmakers that tolerate arbing but I would very much appreciate if anyone tells me a service (free or paid) that finds arbs for us with these bookies.

This is a good one I found in another thread http://www.arbets.com - most of the bets involve pinnacle and another bookie which I am not sure enough if it tolerates arbing


Maybe someone could recommand me a service I could subscribe for good arbs with good bookmakers - that would be awesome!

Back team A to outright win a soccer match at 2.120 and team B with an Asian of 0, 0.5 at 2.020.

Surely if this match is a draw then bet A loses and bet B also loses half the stake.....Or am I missing something?

I have recently started "paper trading" using ArbAlarms 5 day trial, they give me a lot of arbs and there odds are rite 99% of the time though some arbs are incorrect. Anyway the problem I am having is that most of there arbs includes betting at a bookmaker who does not accept GBP Sterling such as The Greek, YaBook, Racebook etc!!

Is there any more experienced arbers who can give any insight into how they get round this problem?

I'm completely new here and new to arbing. At the moment i'm just trawling through the net trying to learn what I can from places such as here and the SAG site.

I took out the 3 day free trial with Arbexpert to get a feel for what kind of things come along and with which bookies, and to try and make a few 'paper trades'...Just to see if I could get to the confirmation screens etc while the arb was still live.

My question is...Why the huge difference in alert service fees, such as Arbexpert being £50pm and Arbitragepro being £150? The alerts on Arbexpert seemed plentiful enough to me, what added value is there in the cost of Arbitragepro? I'm obviously green and naive but was wondering, where are the fundamental differences that make people shell out an extra £100 pm?

Rafter with odds of 2.20 with bookie B works out as 232.36 x 2.20= 511.19

Arbitrage sports betting is often portrayed as risk free, however, it is not entirely free of risks. For one, the bookmakers have their odds balanced and if you back both sides with the same bookmaker you are sure to lose. Arbitrage will only work when you place your bets with two different bookmakers who, for their own reasons, offer different odds for the same event. They may also shorten their odds after a certain amount has been received against the bets and this will kill your chance of making a profit. I posted this on the Aussoft forum but thought it would be best to post on it's own also.

Some time ago I received information from " RHODES PENISULAR INVESTMENTS" another Gold Coast
based company.

They sent me a brochure and seemed to be above board.
I ran a google check and found a few listings and their brochure on line.

They to were asking a figure of around $7000 for a five year period offering a "managed fund".
I said no as I did not have a spare $7000.

I then received an offer of a 1 year "trial" for $2000 which I thought sounded good so paid them with a credit card.

They assured my I would receive my outlay $2000 plus my starting bank $1000 total $3000 back within around 10 weeks.

Looking at my account it is going backwards and I must say I now feel like I have been "conned" and feeling rather stupid that I have been sucked in by these guys.

I have had some trouble getting a hold of someone in their so called Customer Service or getting someone to reply to the many emails I have sent explaining my concerns.

After much persistance I received a call from a fellow called Peter apologising for the delay in getting back to me. He informed me a customer service rep would call me as one was being appointed.

I did then finally get a call from Andre advising he had just started and would be looking after customer service. They keep telling me they have around 8000 accounts.

It is hard to believe that with 8000 accounts they have 1 customer service rep.

When I mention to Andre that it is frustrating that my calls are not returned and that my emails are not answered he tells me he does not have a computer as yet but should have one soon.
This pretty well convinces me that it is another SCAM with very clever sales people and techniques.
I just can't believe I have fallen for it hook, line & sinker.

So far I have been with them since 11 July and have seen nothing come in from their trades to cover the losing trades they have made from my account.

As I mentioned to both Peter & Andre, their brochure clearly states that no matter the outcome you don't lose. The Rhodes Peninsular staff have also given me this assurance verbally on each occasion I have spoken with them.

I was told to check my account at the end of the month which I have done and still see no return coming in from the other wagers.

When I question them I keep getting told that because they deal with overseas bookmakers it sometimes can take 2 to 4 weeks before I see a deposit from Rhodes Peninsular.

Again I queried Andre advising that nothing has been deposited and am now told that of the 8000 accounts they have on the books, only 3 accounts have not had deposits made due to some error that they are trying to correct. He assures me this will be fixed up in the next few days.

I have a bad feeling that I have been had again!

Just wondering if anyone else here has any dealings with these guys. If so I would love to hear your experiences with them.

At the moment its wait and see, but I am seriously considering having my bank do a charge back on my credit card as I am sick and tired of all the excuses.

A British couple taking home an average household income just can’t comfortably afford a home these days. The power of the currency just isn’t as strong as it used to be against the rising housing costs, inflation, and so on.

In fact, the average couple is expected to put aside two thirds of their income (with the average annual income being around £44,000) if they want to be able to afford a home.

But it could be worse. Couples taking home a combined annual income of £27,500 would have to spend more than a year’s salary on the deposit, solicitor’s fees, and stamp duty alone.

While some analysts argue that the ever-rising housing costs are set for a plummet before long, others argue that the horizon is not going to improve much for these average-income, first time home buyers any time soon. In fact, throughout the latter half of 2008, the road to home ownership is expected to only get bumpier for these couples.

What it really boils down to, in numbers, is this: The lowest quarter earnings in the UK have increased at a snail’s crawl of three point five percent each year since 1996. Meanwhile, housing prices throughout the UK have skyrocketed at a whopping ten point three percent.

There have been some slight improvements for a lucky few. Currently, a couple in the bottom earning quarter are expected to spend 34.5 percent of their pay just on mortgage repayments. This is still a lot, but it is down from the 37.2 percent that it was during early part of the year, and well down from the record breaking 46.5 percent UK citizens suffered at the end of 1989. For those that can afford home ownership, the market has become marginally less bumpy in the most recent months, and if the plummet that some experts predict takes place, housing could be under-valued for a period of time before slowly climbing back up.

Still, even with these slight improvement s, London is considered to be the very most difficult place, in the UK, for people who are making low or average earnings to start investing in home ownership. Many couples in fact are shown to need to save one hundred and thirty three percent of their annual pay.

On the flipside of that coin, the North East is shown to be the most accessible region. In fact, a low-earning couple can afford a home in the North East region by saving around 72.9 percent of their yearly income. Still, that seems like a lot, but it is within reach, and may wind up being surprisingly possible with the right planning, the right investments, and some expert financial advice.

Even so, there are experts who recommend waiting for the bubble to burst before putting a down payment on a home. On the other hand, some experts doubt that the bubble is likely to burst any time soon.

Experts like ex-City trader Rajeev Shah recommend alternative forms of investment, such as sports arbitrage, wherein you bet through multiple bookmakers on all outcomes in a given event, in such a way as to guarantee a positive outcome. I would kindly ask how on earth I am supposed to refrain from placing
bets in ' this manner' when you are advertising a wager, with
what seems to be a fair price? You were offering Atlanta at -1.5
runs for 2.55 ...... not very far out of line from other books.
I merely looked at the best price availble and it was yours. It
is not as though the price was absurd?! 2.55 was not far from several other
books offering 2.2 and upwards.....

I find it distasteful and quite frankly unbeleivable that you ask me from
refraining from placing wagers, when you are offering them. I know
what a palpable error is, and this is quite clearly NOT one.

No other book has ever threatened me in this manner and I kindly
ask you to refrain from doing so in the future. You are an online
bookmaker, please think about acting like one and get you lines
right. If you do not want my business, then tell me outright.

My god, you would not get a book such as PINNACLE acting in
such a disgusting manner. Pinnacle do get their lines wrong,
once in a blue moon and when they do, they at least have the
decency to tell you politely and apologies.

Only been arbing for about a month or so so not sure how unusual this is or whether I should be unduly concerned.

I have an outstanding winning asian bet with Bet 1128 which they acknowledge but cite ''technical difficulties'' in crediting my account. The match took place yesterday and I'm still waiting payment. Bet 1128 support told me this morning that they would fix it by lunchtime and now they tell me they don't have an ETA on a fix at all.

Does this type of thing happen regularly? Are these guys trying to put one over on me? We're talking less than 50 quid here so I wouldn't think it's the kind of money that's going to ruin their day but even so, i'm kinda concerned by this.....any thoughts?

I spend a LOT of time arbing. I have noticed things becomming tighter than it used to
be even a year ago. Some of my experiences have surprised me, none more so
than opening a Blue Square account with £200 and finding that I have been unable
to place a bet of any decent amount, even though I have never traded with this
account! So, how are other peoples experinces with Blue Square? How much will
they allow you to wager?

Another book I am having trouble with is Expekt. I used to be able to trade £200 no
problem, but no longer. It dosnt matter if its a new account or a vintage one,
I get the £1 (199) in brackets, meanning we will give you a £1 bet but we shall think
about the rest. So, how are other people getting on with this book?

I have also noticed that the forum is less busy than it used to be.

My conclusions are that it is not easy at the moment. Perhaps the elections in
November in the US may result in an overturning of their current port act (not sure
what its really called) and at the time people were unsure what effects the
lack of US punters would have, but time has passed and it would appear to
me that the lack of money sloshing around is making life very hard for those
wanting to take advantage of arbing.

I keep saying I shall be more active here....I have not. I think it
is time that I was and try to put something back.

Questions you may have will be answered and I am sorry for those who asked before
only to be answered 2 months later. I will check back here every day and make
it habit.

Other questions you may have are 1) How to scalp casinos and how sucsessful is it? Answers are
on casinobonuspages.com and its still good. It usually out performs my arbing.
Another question you may have is which laying service do I use? I am not
prepared to answer that just yet. I would have to ask first, as it is my number 1 income,
losses included and often they get 100 percent strike rate in a month.

Anyways, that was not the topic, what I really want to know is how is it all looking for
everyone else?

could u please expand on the checking of odds, from what i understand its a case of betting like with like, therefore if one bookie has team A on +0.5 and team B on -0.5 then other bookies u wish to bet with must have the same handicaps.
and then in relation to that u dont have to understand the complexity of the handicaps (which i looked at in breif) but just need to maintain ur rule of like with like. I think!

And they suggest this returns £57 if Anderlecht win and £56 if they lose or draw. I understand the win result but not the draw or loss! Surely if Anderlecht lose or draw you have lost £604 at €Play and only kept the lay money at BF? That would be a hefty overall loss!! Don't know where financial betting fits in so have put this topic in with sports betting.

I signed up to financialbinary and was surprised to find that rather than ordinary risk 90 to win 100 you get with this type of thing they actually found some genuine arbs between two different binary bet providers! The first one made me 7% and the second one 6% and that is guaranteed profit.

Where do I start ? Most internet 'traders' nightmare . Ok logged onto my PC round about 8:45 this morning and did the usual traders routine of trawling for opportunities etc . Saw an opportunity at 10 Bet and logged on . What a shock !! My balance should have been 'x' dollars but now was showing a balance of $9.52 which was a substantial amount that should have been there ( hindsight it should have been withdrawn long time ago ) Ok , panic , immediately went through account statement and in betting history a wager for 'x' amount had been placed at 08:00:08 for a soccer match in Japan . Anyway immediately contacted customer service and was told to contact accounts by e mail !!! I said I wanted to speak to a senior manager as I considered a serious matter had taken place with my account . No chance Sunday morning !!!! E mailed em and they returned the e mail despite me giving them my mobile number and land line number . They more or less said it was my problem , that the bet had been placed correctly and from my PC . I need to mention now that the match in question was scheduled to kick off at 06:00 am ( GMT time ) and in fact kicked off a couple of minutes late ( 06:02 ) The timing is vital as the time and date of the wager slip was processed by 10 Bet was / is 08:00:48 . Ok quick calculation including added time meant match should finish 07:55 latest . Ok need to verify end time of match but how ? Called on a good friend who is a major contributor here for advice ( wanted to get things right before placing post here ) In the mean time had a brainwave and called customer services at Betfair . Asked rep if he could do me a favour and check with tech guys what time they suspended (finished) this particular match He rang me back about 10 mins later and said ............... 07:50 !!!

Ok long shot of it all contacted their customer service with this info and they have promised full investigation . Bollocks , I said , I want my money refunded , full apology and compensation for the worry , anxiety and forthe dogs missing their walks .I am now awaiting outcome and a visit to the police if no satisfaction forthwith. Sorry for such a long post guys but I know you will know its worth it
