8. What limitations are there on DepositFiles for the number of downloads?

There is no limitation for the number of downloads of a file! Some files stored in our system have been downloaded more than 100,000 times. If you are not a Gold user, you can upload only one file in one current without interruption. Moreover, you can use any downloading accelerator: GetRight, FlashGet, etc. Gold users can upload 250 files in 50 currents as well as use a uploading option for broken files!

9. Can I see the whole file archive of your system?

Generally, no. Our service guarantees total confidence of both your files and other user’s files. As some people do not want to grant access to their files to everybody, generally it is impossible to receive the files, if you do not know their links.

10. I have purchased a GOLD-account, but your system does not log me in. What could be wrong?

Please, ensure that you did not (block) cookies in your browser. Make sure that you have not installed any software blocking the receiving and sending of cookies. For example, this can be a firewall. But even if cookies are not received or sent on your computer, if you have a GOLD-account you just need to enter your log-in and password (they are automatically sent to you when you register your GOLD-account) each time, when you want to upload a file and you switched off the cookies.

11. I might enter my e-mail address when I register as a regular or GOLD-member. Will I receive advertising messages sent to my e-mail address?

NO, you will not. We do not sell or give anybody the e-mail addresses of our users. The only thing that you may receive sent to your e-mail is our message in case our service will have additional options.

12. How long will DepositFiles store my files?

If you have a GOLD-account , your files will be stored for 80 days from their last download, if you do not delete them yourself. If you use our free service, then your files will be stored for 30 days from their last download.

13. Why is the file being downloaded slowly?

Maybe, the requested file is being downloaded by dozens of people and our servers are sharing the traffic among all the users. If you want to have priority for downloading, you can purchase a GOLD-account or try to download this file at another time of the day.

14. Your system informs that I'm downloading files at the moment or have already downloaded too many, though I haven't downloaded any files yet! What's wrong?

Our system uses your IP-address to count the amount of downloads. If you receive such a notice and you really haven't downloaded anything, then you probably use the proxy-server that is simultaneously used by other people. You should switch off this proxy-server. If your provider doesn't allow it the only possible solution for you is GOLD-account . GOLD-account uses cookies (not IP addresses) for counting your downloads.

15. The service shows the message "Your IP is already downloading a file from our system." But I'm sure I'm not downloading! How can I download a file?

DepositFiles service recognizes users by their IP addresses, but the IP address is not always the IP address of your computer.
It is possible that your internet provider(or home network,internet cafe or any other public network) conceals your computer's IP address by means of proxy,NAT or other technology, so that Depositfiles treats the requests from several users of this provider/network as those coming from one and the same IP address.

To avoid overload for free accounts we introduced the limitation: one IP address can download only one file at the given moment of the time.

This limitations is not applicable to Gold accounts.

We recommend you to try downloading this file later or change the settings of your internet connection in order to change your IP address (please consult your provider on this matter).
16. Why can’t I enter DepositFiles through the corporate proxy-server?

The system limits the number of simultaneous logins from the same IP address to prevent the server’s overloading. That is why you may see a notice informing you that something is already being downloaded from your IP address, though you are not downloading anything. As Gold users have more downloading priority, if you are not a GOLD-member, just try to log in at another time of day.

17. What are the advantages of the GOLD-account?
