Affiliate Marketing is an online marketing model that is channeled towards promoting other people's products or services in exchange for commissions off the sales. If you are a website owner and are looking for the best way to monetize your blog, affiliate marketing is one of the best options for you, though you need a whole lot of website traffic to be able to start earning revenue immediately.
If you're still a newbie blogger and your blog is still under construction, do not apply for affiliate programs yet because if you do, chances are you'll have a 90% rejection rate. Not because you don't have a beautiful-looking website, but because you don't have what it takes yet to promote affiliate programs using your personal website traffic.
So, you need to build out high-quality and engaging content consistently for a period of 6-12 months before you should consider applying for those affiliate programs.
However, there are programs out there that accept you whether you're already generating traffic or not yet, and it's a good thing to know that Amazon (being a hero in the affiliate marketing industry) is one of the most promising affiliate programs that will accept you even with a zero traffic website.
While applying for the Amazon affiliate program, you need just a personal website, whether it's still under construction or not, but you'll be required to present bank account details and tax documents during online application.
Becoming a super affiliate entails having a high level of understanding of what online marketing entails and a full clue of what Google search algorithm is about. It's about understanding that you need time to build out content, build lots of external backlinks, build engagement with your audience, and promote your blog content consistently with the right energy and resources.

Yeah, most people that earn from affiliate marketing do it part-time - reason being that some are still into their 9-5 everyday white-collar jobs waiting for when their affiliate marketing business will have started generating enough money to retire with. There's no limit to the revenue potential in building an affiliate marketing business. All that matters is building out content and collaborating with the ideal audience.

Thanks for this thread! I've been an affiliate marketer since 2007 and can bear witness to this thread that affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to monetize your blog and make money online. You start by building the traffic from zero while you earn profits for your hard work. Consistency and persistence pay off. My goal now is to become a super affiliate in the next year, earning thousands of dollars monthly from promoting affiliate programs.

I've also dreamed of becoming a super affiliate as I go along with building a virtual real estate in the online world, though it's not been that easy all along. All I know is that with consistency, I'll surely get there someday, actualizing my dreams. Opportunities are diverse online if anyone can explore the time, energy, and resources.
